Rules of Engagement

FOR CUSTOM DESIGN SITE CLIENTS ONLY.

1. Clients are charged using Quoted vs. the hourly rate so that we are not stuck with “scope creep” that ends up costingĀ  more than the anticipated project cost. You will recieve an “estimate” requiring 50% deposit on what we expect your project to cost, but we will track hours and bill you if you exceed your alloted amount of time due to excessive changing of criteria.

2. Content must be provided to us at one time and have been reviewed for spelling and grammer. We do not do copy writing.

3.Jobs must be ready to be completed within 45 days or rescheduled.

4. All payments are due in 45 days no matter what the status of the job. No work will continue on any job that is not paid within 45 days until the balance is paid in full.

5.We only provide 2 hours of consulting time on a job – all other time on the phone or via email is billable.

6. We do not offer refunds of any kind for any reason

7. If a job is not completed within 6 months of start date, all funds revert to zero. We can not refund, re-start jobs after they have sat dormant for 6 months due to client inactivity. Your deposit expires after 6 months.

8. We are not responsible for software that does not work, for payment systems that do not work, and for not knowing things that we do not know. We do not refund money because your plans didn’t work out when you took some of our advice and not other advice or when you failed to do due diligence on the programs you asked us to work on. We are experienced in all types of web design and ecommerce but we can not predict the future or anticipate needs that you may have in the back of your mind, or yet to be discovered needs.

9. If you do not discover an issue on a website we worked on before 30 days is over, we are not going in to fix it for free.

10. We only develop for the main browsers used by 90% of the people on the internet according to http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp. If you want us to develop for another browser you’ll have to state what browser it is and pay us to alter anything that won’t work with that browser.

12. When Microsoft updates their software, we do not update your website to work with it for free.

13. We do not guarantee that we will answer you promptly because it will depend on how many customers are asking us things all at once. We do our best to get back to customers with current projects within the day.

14. If we have completely created your website and you don’t like it, we do not do it over for free. Please think it through and stick with what you get or pay us and we will do another one for you.

15. Unless you are one of our hosted customers, we do not work on your email issues. You need to hire an IT manager.

16. We are not secretaries and can not make phone calls and other miscellaneious tasks for you.

17. We do not provide marketing advice unless you pay for it, or unless we are in a good mood. Our minimum marketing programs start at 1000. Dollars.

18. Our agreement with you is to provide design and development services, we can not be responsible if you do not sell anything.
